- Specialty slides like heavy duty drawer slides are not offered by the leading brands.
- And cost for quality is another key reason to know brands like Vadania that offer excellent side mount ball bearing slides (but are relatively unknown).
- Lastly, features vary from manufacturer to manufacturer and while you may prefer Blum for soft close slides; there’s reason to use Hettich slides for heavy duty slides and Accuride for bottom mount slides.

good articles i found helpful . By chance have you come across any company that makes a 3/8 in clearance glide. Many high end furniture manufacturerslike Michael Amini used 3/8 in clearance glides on many of their dressers and night stands. I have been unable to locate a manufacturer for that size slide.
Hi Lynn – for a side mount I have not seen these. However, an undermount like the Blum is the best bet as they have a smaller side clearance and the drawer slide is not visible.
